Louisville Arcade Expo 2012 – Here’s all you need to know…
2
The 2012 edition of the Louisville Arcade Expo is heading back to town for the weekend of March 2-4, 2012, and it promises to be bigger and better than last year. If you happened to attend last year’s inaugural event then the format will be much the same of what we classic/retro gamers love – rooms packed with rows and rows of classic arcade games, pinballs and console gaming action all set on free-play and ready for hours and hours of fun.
If you need a quick refresher on the 2011 show, check out my recap – http://www.brokentoken.com/events/recap-louisville-arcade-expo-2011/.
What will make this years event different is not so much changing up any of the core events, but instead the focus is on improving the venue, game selection, expanding the floor space and generally making everything “better” where possible.
Follow the break to find out all the new goodness that will be this year’s expo…

We were fortunate to be able to spend several hours there at the Hickory Hollow mall location and were able to get a good feel for what Game Galaxy has going on…
Recap – Louisville Arcade Expo (2011)
2It came, we saw, it kicked some tail and now it’s gone (but hopefully to return next year).
In short – the expo rocked.
I attended with some friends and family members on Saturday and arrived on the scene around 11:00 AM. The crowd was brisk and there was a lot of action in each of the dedicated game rooms as well as the pinball/arcade exhibition area. I spent a good amount of time just taking everything in and trying to figure out what I was going to play.
Courier Journal dishes good on the Louisville Arcade Expo!
0Quick update today, as I’m still working on a few other posts – our own local Courier Journal posted a very in-depth and positive article on the Louisville Arcade Expo and the three guys ‘behind-the-scenes’ making it all happen.
It’s a great read and well-worth checking out!
